The Bush administration has been hoodwinked again. The U.S. military has determined that the "Islamic State of Iraq", an al-Qaeda insurgent group used by George Bush as an excuse to keep U.S. troops in Iraq for peacekeeping purposes, is actually an al-Qaeda propaganda hoax, and that it exists only in cyberspace. The "leader", Omar al-Baghdadi, is actually an actor used by al-Qaeda for fake promotional video and news reports, according to the Army. The fictional group was invented to convince terrorist recruits and the U.S. and Iraqi governments that al-Qaeda's insurgency presence in Iraq is greater than it is.
