This is the actual mustard plant, not the condiment. It looks like cabbage, and I ate it like cabbage, but it tastes only a little like cabbage. It does taste somewhat mustardy, but not as much as the condiment. It also tasted a little like Brussels sprouts. Because of all the salt in it, and the sourness, after eating it it was like I had eaten a bag of salt and vinegar potato chips, but not as dry, of course. There was also a little bit of a peanuty aftertaste. It was still surprisingly good, and I wouldn't turn it down if offered it again.
