Exorcist claims Satan behind priest pedophilia scandal.

Father Gabriele Amorth, a "noted" Italian exorcist according to the Catholic News Agency, claims that Satan is responsible for the pedophilia scandal wracking the Catholic Church.  He says the Devil made the media, and the New York Times in particular, report on the scandal in order to besmirch the Church.  He minimizes the role of the pedophile priests in a "boys will be boys" manner, saying they gave into temptation, and places the bulk of the blame on the devil-controlled media.

Meanwhile, the Vatican is trying to distance itself from the comments of Vatican reverend Raniero Cantalamessa, who compared the negative publicity to the persecution of Jews in a Good Friday mass attended by the Pope.
