Dilled poached salmon on creamy rice and steamed carrots and celery, and a chocolate mousse cake mouse for dessert. From Town Line Diner in Rocky Hill, CT.
The diner's menus are filled with mistranslations and spelling errors, such as "scrabled eggs", "stafed eggplant", and "green pees". Tonight I had the "pooched salmon". It was pretty good, but way more food than I expected, so I only ate about a third and brought the rest home.
The chocolate mouse is an intentional misspelling of "mousse". It's chocolate cake with chocolate mousse layers, covered with dark chocolate and topped with a mouse made of chocolate. In this case, I couldn't finish it because it was too rich. I just had to get a picture of it, though.
