The Greenwich Lantern Corp

The people in Greenwich, Conn. don't like outsiders using their beaches and parks, so they called the police when it looked like space aliens were coming to visit.  Residents reported strange lights in the sky, and a couple of marine officers tracked them down to a birthday party where revelers were launching Chinese sky lanterns.  The lanterns were legal, so the cops just told the partiers to be careful and not scare the neighbors.

This isn't the first time Chinese lanterns were mistaken for aliens in Greenwich.  I found another incident reported at the end of January this year.

I was also tempted to use "Watch Out for Little Greenwich Men" and "The Greenwich Cuckoos" as titles.
