I've started rereading "Hospital Station" by James White.
By random chance, I'm reading his Sector General series again from the beginning, after many years. I'm reminded how good it is. I'd only read the first few, but now I've got all of them (I think). Sweetness.
I got to know White a little at the Babylon 5 wrap convention in London in 1998, and you couldn't find a nicer man. I regret that I won't get to meet him again, except through his books.
