Writer's Block: Mega Bite

If you could own a restaurant, what type of food would you serve, and what would you call it?

Its name would probably be something like "Adventure" and have four "comfort levels" of menu items:  Tourist, Traveler, Explorer, and SurvivorTourist would have restaurant standards like burgers, steaks, spaghetti, etc.  Traveler would have a more international selection, but nothing no one would expect outside a regular international restaurant.  Explorer would have more exotic selections and gourmet tryouts, but nothing too challenging.  Survivor would have the really challenging selections, such as insects, natto, fugu, really hot food, really big food, certain Japanese ice creams, etc.

Mark Twain marks 100th anniversary of death with autobiography.

Tupac Shakur and L. Ron Hubbard have nothing on Mark Twain.  Twain is still having new books published 100 years after his death.  Before he died, Twain donated 5,000 unedited pages of his autobiography to the University of California with the stipulation that they would not be published in full for 100 years, and the first of three volumes is coming out through the University of California Press in November.  (Portions have been published before he died when he needed money, but not the really juicy parts.)  Some scholars think that he made the stipulation because of his scandalous and politically incorrect revelations and commentary about his contemporaries, and because of his political views, which are still a little too progressive for some people in the present.  He describes the affair he had with his secretary after his wife died, including her giving him a vibrating sex toy, and spends 400 pages badmouthing her as a seductress who "hypnotized" him and took advantage of him and his estate.  He also felt that religious missionaries should have concentrated on converting the heathens lynching people in the southern U.S. before sending anyone to Africa.
