Sakuraya brand Japanese rice cakes, from College Point, NY. Purchased from A Dong Supermarket in West Hartford, CT. 

Ingredients include sweet rice flour, red bean paste, sugar, and water.

I like the marshmallow-like rice cake more than the red bean filling.  The filling tastes a little like sweetened mashed kidney beans, and I prefer my kidney beans steamed and buttered.  I'd be happier with other fillings, like fruit or custard.  They look pretty, though, like spiral galaxies on gray stones.
