Autism linked to rain.

Researchers at Cornell University have found that the more rain an area has, the higher the rate of autism in the area.  They are trying to determine whether the causative factors are behavioral or environmental.  Behavioral factors could include the increase of certain activities during the rain, such as television watching.  Environmental factors could include some chemical component of the rain itself, or the material it stirs up.  I think it's possibly a combination of behavioral and environmental factors, such as people staying for longer periods of time in one area, where they can have a longer exposure to toxic factors, or where they themselves can build up dangerous amounts of carbon dioxide or spread germs and viruses to each other.
