Good News, Bad News, and Worse News

Good news:  I won a pair of tickets to the Fab Four tribute concert at the Springfield, Mass. Symphony Hall on February 24.  I've heard it's an excellent show.  The bad news is I have no one to go with, so if anyone wants to go with me, let me know.  I'm thinking of having dinner either before or after, and may make a meet of the the dinner part.  I'll post details in newenglandfurs if I do.

Worse news: Tuesday night my nice 20-inch LCD monitor died.  I've got an extended warranty on it, so I should be able to get it fixed or replaced.  Worser: my 15-year-old CRT monitor, which I kept for backup, is not compatible any more with my computer.  It used to be, but it's not now.  It may be dead, too.  I know it's useless now.  Worsest: I have not been able to use my home computer since Monday because Wednesday was a snow day and I could not get a replacement monitor.  Hopefully I'll get one today.  I got a lot of catching up to do.  I'm at work now so I can't read my email yet or check eBay or do much other personal stuff.  I think fate is forcing me to sleep more instead of staying up online.

Last night's "Lost"

Last night's time travel episode would explain the end of last season, where the two guys we now know are Desmond's friends were in an arctic outpost looking for an electromagnetic event and notifying his girlfriend when they find it.  When Desmond disappeared during the boat race, the Indian guy apparently remembered what Desmond said about the island, and that he predicted the game score and cricket bat attack one night off, and realized he was telling the truth.  He would have told Desmond's girlfriend, who had the resources to set up the outpost to locate the hatch blast they knew would happen.  I wonder if Charlie will remember meeting Desmond years ago.  I have a feeling we'll be seeing the jewelry store lady again, to explain how she knew Desmond's destiny.  Maybe she's also a time traveler.
