Blue-skinned Libertarian credited with Democrats' Senate majority

Before the year 2000, Montana Libertarian candidate Stan Jones turned his skin blue when he drank a silver-laced homemade antibiotic to protect himself from the diseases he expected after the world's computers crashed from the Millennium Bug.  In 2006, he turned the U.S. Senate blue when he took enough votes from his Republican opponent for the Democratic candidate to win the Senate seat which political analysts say tipped the balance from a Republican majority to Democratic.
