Keep your gay blood to yourself.

Someone who shall be nameless has related a story about being forbidden from donating blood because he had had sex with another man.  Apparently the FDA prohibits the collection of any blood from men who have had sex with other men after 1977, even though all blood is screened for the same conditions regardless of gender.  Because there's no good medical reason to single out gay men for prohibition, blood collection agencies are joining together to petition the government to allow this good blood to be included, and are asking donors and potential donors to ask their local collectors to join the cause.

This could explain why gays are forbidden from joining the armed services.  Their gay blood might get all over the other soldiers.
