Flu pandemic can cripple Internet.

The Government Accountability Office is warning that the Internet could be overwhelmed by the increased traffic of sick workers at home, including those who would have been supporting the Internet's infrastructure if they were well.  The federal government has no  plans for maintaining the Internet during a national emergency, and the GAO advises that plans be developed, including shutting down jammed streaming media sites, that the Department of Homeland Security has no authority to do right now.

They want SO badly to be able to control the flow of information over the internet. THIS is their latest excuse? I can't believe how LAME these people are. How stupid do they think we are?

That's the LAST thing we want, is DHS deciding that "this site is too crowded: turn it off." I don't remember seeing any Bolsheviks running for office on the last ballot. Where are they coming from?
