Cheney's memoirs will criticize Bush.

Not satisfied with trying to undermine the current President, Dick Cheney will now try to tear down the former.

Cheney was peeved about George Bush toward the end of their administration, and he says he'll make sure everyone knows about it when his memoirs are published in 2011, when the statute of limitations on many state secrets will have run out.  Cheney will tell how upset he was about Bush becoming more independent and resistant to his advice, and not as hardline on some issues.  (Bush had previously admitted in interviews that he felt Cheney was too hardline.)  In other words, he's mad that Bush stood up to him and told him he's gone too far, and wouldn't be a Dick like him.  And now Cheney's going to get even.

Bush was an out of touch elitist, half brain-dead from the alcohol and easily manipulated by the forces that put him in office. In short, he was a bumbler. If there was a core of evil in the White House during the Bush years, one need look no farther than Cheney himself. Anything he has to say will be roundly ignored, for my part.

I think Cheney's contention is that Bush wasn't as easy to manipulate toward the end, and he's taking it personally.

So the man who kept secrets from the people, and considered those people who published memoirs to be traitors to their bosses, is going to blab all the secrets so that he can 'tell the truth' about his boss. He got the right first name, all right. DBAD.

He's going about this all wrong. If he wants to get even, he just needs to take the former president hunting.

So it was actually Dick Cheney's fault that Bush was the way he was? o_O

Naw. Each was responsible for their own follies, but I feel that Cheney was calling a lot of the shots, especially since 9/11 and the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.
